Jeffery Jordan Professes First Vows
Georgia native Jeffery Jordan, supported by friends from Albany to Florida, professed his first vows as a Franciscan on June 6 at St. Paul’s Church in Delaware.

Franciscans Elect Leaders
During the second week of the Chapter in Assisi, the Franciscan Order re-elected José Rodríquez Carballo to serve a second term as General Minister and elected an American as General Vicar.

On Pentecost Sunday, the friar community of St. Anthony Shrine greeted Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, his wife, Angela, and invited guests for a special dinner.

Western N.Y. High School Holds Fundraiser
Bishop Timon–St. Jude High School in Buffalo hosted its fifth annual Kaleidoscope Dinner, raising more than $125,000 for the Fr. Joel A. Campbell, OFM Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Peace Activist Speaks Throughout Province
Just back from Iran, peace activist Louis Vitale spoke at two churches in New Jersey this month, discussing “Living as a Peacemaker.” He will be in North Carolina next week.

St. Francis Inn Staff, Guests Enjoy Annual Block Party
Friends of St. Francis Inn gathered for community building and fun at the Philadelphia soup kitchen's 20th annual block party on June 7.

Hartford Parish Celebrates Haitian Culture
St. Patrick-St. Anthony Parish hosted its fifth annual Taste of Haiti this month. The event to benefit its “twin” parish in Zoranje, Haiti, was attended by 250 and raised nearly $10,000.

Allegany Parish Program Encourages Love
